- Take the plug off from the discharge valve and drain the oil thoroughly. Wait until all residual oil in the sump is drained.
- Power up the Compressor and run for 5-8 seconds and stop it with E-Stop. Power the Compressor down.
- Residual oil in the airend will move into oil sump. Wait until all oil is drained.
- Take off air/oil separator as shown video;
,
- For models with spin on separator; put the air/oil separator according to instructions shown on the filter. Go to step II.
- Clean the inside of the oil sump. Make sure there is no particles left at the bottom. If necessary use some oil to flush.
- Clean the surfaces where air/oil separator sits in.
- Use new the gaskets sent with separator.
- Do NOT take off the staples attached on gaskets. Taking them off may cause static electric load and burn the Compressor.
- Use liquid sealant at the outer rim of the seats where gasket is installed.
- Make sure all bolts are tightened and tubes are connected tight.
- Open the OIL FILLER CAP.
- Fill the oil to the top red line of the sight glass (Rectangular type) or to the top level of the sight glass (Round type) .
- Put the oil filler cap in its place and tighten it. Make sure washer bonded seal is in place.
- Check the drain valve is closed and the plug is assembled to avoid leaks with proper seal (liquid [not locking type only sealing type] or Teflon tape).
- Run the Compressor at full speed and at minimum 100 psi at the system, check the oil level. If the oil level stays within ¼ of an inch (up or down) of the lower red line, you have enough oil filled. If not, add enough oil to make sure oil level is within the limit. If there is a round oil sight glass, have oil level in the middle of the glass when Compressor is not running.
- Check possible oil leaks where oil filter installed or where separator installed. If needed tighten oil filter or bolts with proper wrenches.
