Follow the steps below before installing the compressor

  1. Login to U.S. Air Compressor Members portal to make sure the primary user and all other users of compressor, email addresses at the compressor location are registered at the portal. If there are more users to be registered to portal or some already registered are needed to be deleted send an email to info@usaircompressor.com from one of the registered user email stating which email should be registered or deleted to the portal.
  2. Compressor must be located on a levelled floor.
  3. The compressor should be installed in a well ventilated room. Under no circumstances compressor room temperature must not exceed 104F(45C) when compressor is running. If needed the hot air coming out of the compressor cooler must be directed outside of the compressor room with HVAC ducts. Max allowed head pressure after the compressor cooler is 10KPA.
  4. Compressor room temperature must not be below 40F(5C).
  5. There must be min a 24” clearance from the walls in order to be able to perform PM. However, this distance may not be enough if the location of the compressor is not allowing the lifting devices to access the compressor for heavy parts in the compressor to be unassembled or installed. Appropriate space and path ways must be left all around the compressor for ease of service and tools, as well as lifting devices like forklifts, pallet jacks can be used if needed during the compressor service.
  6. The discharge line into the air system should not be smaller than the compressor discharge port size. The piping is preferred to be next size bigger.
  7. Compressor air outlet must be connected to the air net with a flexible pipe, right after the compressor to allow expansion of the piping and to prevent vibrations from the other devices as well the vibration of the compressor effecting each other. Vibrations of each device connected solid to each other may damage the compressor or the piping so does the other devices..
  8. Compressor air outlet must not carry the weight of the piping of the air net or any ither device.
  9. The shipping skid should NOT be used as part of the mounting base.
  10. Choose the right sized disconnectable fuse box. The minimum service required for :
  • /d compressors 40%
  • /x compressors 60% (with time delayed fuses to compensate in rush currents)

above the FLA of the compressor. Refer to Amperes / FLA ratings chart

  1. Compressor must be properly grounded. Connecting to a ground log on the panel which is not attached to real, appropriate ground is not grounding, Follow the wiring physically and make sure ground is connected directly to the ground terminal in the terminal box and the breaker which is connected to the physically correctly sized and buried in to the soil by copper plate or copper rod.
