Minimum ambient temperatures compressor can run | 40F (5C) |
Should compressor to run at lower ambient temperatures, consult Us Air Compressor. Below 40F(5C) compressor will run for few seconds and stop with an error code. |

Consult Us Air Aompressor for higher ambient temperatures compressor will run |
Minimum internal temperature compressor must run | 165F (75C) |
Running at lower temperature will cause condensation and destroy the compressor. For pressures above 150PSI minimum temperature compressor must run is 185F. If compressor internal temperature is below 165F (75C) compressor will keep running even though there is no air demand. if the air demand is low or none, the discharge valve may constantly dump air to ensure onload operation to warm compressor above 165F (75C) quickly. Dumping action may cause cycling discharge action and cause cycling air discharge noise. This is completely a normal reaction of the compressor during heating cycle. This process called heating function. |

Running at higher temperature will cause

High Temperature protection limit | 212F (100C) |
If compressor element temperature rises protection limit, compressor will reduce the max. allowed speed to a lower value, pump almost half of the air so that it can keep working with less cooling demand. Whenever temperature drops below 90C compressor will start runinng at the full speed and deliver the max air flow it is designed to. click here for more information |
