!Perform any service if;
• Person going to work on the compressor is certified,
• All compressed air is discharged inside the compressor
• Compressor is completely isolated from the compressed air system.
!Mobile devices connecting internet wireless (phones with 5G or devices with wifi) may not be able to reach to internet, if they are trying to connect to compressor at a location;
• not close enough to wifi station,
• the building in is covered by metal roofing and mostly metal walls (ie. metal construction with aliminium panels)
SmartCom app may not be able to communicate with Us Air Compressor Servers. In that case try using hard wired LAN connection to your coputer or other devices.
Type 1 inverters must have the jumper cable connected between the GND terminal and COM terminal of the control board.
Type 1 inverter controller terminal configuration
If SmartCom App could connect the compressor previously and there has been no physical changes on the compressor done such as rewiring the compressor or bluetooth or switching the location of the compressor installed, it is recommended to
- uninstall the app,
- if bluetooth is needed to be pairied, unpair the bluetooth,
- turn off the device used to connect to compressor completely and restart,
- pair the bluetooth (if needed),
- reinstall the SmartCom App,
- configure SmartCom app and select the correct bluetooth device on the compressor,
- try connecting again to the compressor
before following the below troubleshooting chart.

- Check if your device bluetooth is ON.
- Check Bluetooth type. Make sure it is paired if bluetooth type reuires pairing. if not paired, pair the bluetooth devices requiring pairing with your device.
- Make sure the correct bluetooth device is selected from the list of bluetooth devices available at the settings of Smartcom App.
- Check if the RED light on the blutooth device is continuously on and
- 2 green lights are flashing (Type A bluetooth devices),
- Blue light is flashing (TypeB bluetooth devices).
If red light is not lit, check wiring as explained below.
- Check version of the Smartcom app. If Smartcom App has not been installed recently, uninstall the app and install again. Select the bluetooth device to connect.
- If this is the first connection trying to connect to compressor and bluetooth , or the first attempt to connect after the control card has been changed, check bluetooth wiring. Bluetooth cable has 4 branches inthe main wire with color coding. Make sure
- RED wire is connected to 10v+ terminal for TypeA bluetooth, 24v+ for TypeB bluetooth devices,
- BLACK wire is connceted to COM terminal,
- Green / Blue wire is connected to RS485+ terminal,
- Yellow wire is connected to RS485- terminal
On the main inverter control board.
- If the bluetooth device in the compressor has been swapped and a different type of bluetooth device is installed (hence swapping TypeA bluetooth with TypeB bluetooth or vice versa), make sure cable comes with the new bluetooth decive is also changed. DO NOT USE the old cable connecting old bluetooth device with the new bluetooth device. Swap the cable send with the new bluetooth device, when installing a new bluetooth device.
- TypeB bluetooth devices can be set RS422 mode rather than RS485 communication mode. Check and set bluetooth device to RS485 mode.
Open the bluetooth device by unscrewing the 3 bolts. One of the bolts is hidden under the label of the bluetooth device.
Check the position of the switch and make sure it is set to 485 as indicated on the label on the cover of the bluetooth device.

- There happened to be an unexpected communication error. Close the app and start again. Try connecting once again.
- if problem persists after the 3rd trial of restarting the Smartcom app, register the correct serial number

- The Smartcom App is not online and does not have push capability to respect the privacy of the user. It may take a minute or two before SmartCom updates the information on the Us Air Compressor servers. Please wait for at least 3 minutes and make sure the connection of your device with internet is stable and fast. Slow connections may take longer times.
- If there is a firewall on the wifi your phone or computer is connected, make sure it is configured so that SmartCom App can reach Us Air Compressor servers.

!If Compressor is equipped with an additional inverter to control the cooling fan!
Make sure cooling fan inverter RS485+ terminal is connected to RS485+ terminal of the main inverter so does RS485- terminal of the fan inverter is conneted to RS485- terminal of the main inverter. Both RS485+ and RS485- terminals are located on the control boards of each inverters. Check P5.03 of the fan inverter and make sure it is 002.Please consult US Air Compressor service department for the instructions to check MODBUS addresses of both Main and Fan Inverters.
